Merry Christmas and thank you for your letter addressing your concern. At this time the MNBC BOD is taking this very seriously, and have been in contact with Legal Counsel. Substantiating all facts is critical, and as the Region 5 regional director cannot comment further. Therefore Harold, I would encourage you to contact Joe Gereluk, MNBC Legal Counsel in the event that you would like to discuss your letter further.
Until next time Harold,
Ekusi.
Sincerely,
Annette Maurice Reg 5 Reg. Director

Please review the response that I received from Annette Maurice, my Region 5 Director with respect to my post dated December 26th, 2009. She does not respond to any of my
concerns and merely quotes “word for word” what Joe Gereluk stated in his open letter to Métis citizens.

Open Letter to Joe Gereluk MNBC Lawyer

Re: Letter to Métis Citizens dated December 23rd, 2009

Attention Joe:
Earlene Bitterman and I are very disappointed with your recent letter addressed to “all Métis Citizens” which was clearly only distributed amongst select Métis Citizens in British Columbia. Neither I nor Earlene (who is also a Métis citizen) were sent your letter, which you drafted in response to our call for the resignations of four (4) directors (the “Disgraced Directors”) of the MNBC dated December 21st, 2009. Earlene and I have come into possession of your letter thanks to a large number of our supporters throughout the province of British Columbia who independently forwarded it to us and are outraged by your bullying behaviour as a lawyer.

Please be advised the CCMC members are also Metis Citizens and that there has been no direct correspondence with CCMC members. CCMC has not been provided this letter directly. CCMC was provided with a copy of this letter from Metis Chartered community leaders and Citizens only today, so that we may provide a response. CCMC will be providing a response within 24 hours.

Re: Coalition of Concerned Métis Citizens communication December 21, 2009 regarding allegations of impropriety on behalf of Métis Leadership (the Communication)
The following is in response to the Communication emailed out and presented by the Coalition of Concerned Métis Citizens on December 21, 2009.MNBC takes the allegations contained in the Communication very seriously and, together with the parties named in the Communication, absolutely and emphatically deny the allegations that are without basis or foundation. The MNBC and the parties named therein fully intend to take such action, with independent counsel, as is necessary to prosecute those persons responsible for the false allegations and the publication of the same, to the full extent of the law. MNBC is currently investigating the source of these unfounded allegations. Until such further legal action is taken, please direct all questions to Mr. Joseph Gereluk, MNBC Legal Council at the above address and telephone number.

Attention all,
I want to write and express my strong support for the Coalition of Concerned Métis Citizens (CCMC) and their recent call for the resignation of current President BruceDumont, Vice President Dave Hodgson, North East Regional Director Dan Pope, and Provincial Youth Representative Stephanie Albiston. These individuals need to take responsibility and not use precious MNBC resources to attack Métis citizens who are forcing accountability for the betterment of our Métis Nation.

Holiday Greetings to all Coalition of Concerned Métis Citizens supporters, on behalf of the C.C.M.C. I would like to thank you for your continued support. Real change must come from the grass roots Métis communities in order to make a difference.

The integrity of the M.N.B.C. comes from the Métis citizens; we elect them to represent our best interests and presently our best interests have been ignored, they seem to have their own agenda.

Oppresive regimes always end in disaster, just look at the oppressive regimes around the world that have crumbled. The C.C.M.C. will continue to seek answers to the 18 issues and demand the resignations of the four elected officials namely President Bruce Dumont, Vice President Dave Hodgson, Regional director Dan Pope, and Provincial Youth representative Stephanie Albiston. Electoral misappropriations have allegedly been committed by these four elected officials. They have disgraced the Nation and its people they claim to represent and in order to protect the integrity and viability of the Nation they must resign.

The rest of the M.N.B.C. board of director’s in good conscience must demand their resignations in order to protect the collapse of the entire M.N.B.C. leadership. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Northwest Metis Association CCMC Letter of support – On December 2, 2009 the Northwest Metis Association, Prince Rupert, held a community meeting to review the ongoing correspondence between Mr.Daryl Piper and the Metis Nation BC, specifically President Bruce Dumont.While Mr. Piper is a member of a recently formed group, the Coalition of Concerned Metis Citizens, and is the Vice President of the Vancouver Metis Cultural Society, it is very clear that Mr. Piper is writing as a Metis citizen with a valid Metis Nation BC citizenship card.

Purpose of CCMC: CCMC has been assembled by Métis citizens, eligible as per the MNBC Citizenship Act, under Article 10 of the MNBC Constitution to ensure MNBC leadership administrative and governance decisions protect the long term sustainability of the MNBC programs and services for all Métis citizens. The coalition is not at this time seeking MNBC political offices and CCMC volunteer Métis citizens, unless persuaded otherwise, will discontinue the CCMC assembly once MNBC leadership addresses the identified issues for all of the Métis citizens in British Columbia. CCMC believes that no Métis citizen should be subject to arbitrary or unlawful interference with their privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to unlawful attacks on their honour or reputation when addressing legitimate concerns. CCMC believes that Métis citizens have the right to information and that MNBC has a fiduciary obligation to be accountable to the Métis citizens in British Columbia.

Who are we: CCMC is an adhoc coalition formed in September of 2009 to address specific concerns expressed by individual Métis citizens which to date have not been addressed by the MNBC pursuant to MNBC governance processes. CCMC is concerned that Métis citizens raising legitimate common sense questions are being met with disrespect and disregard by the MNBC.

Vision Statement: To ensure the Métis Nation British Columbia is accountable and transparent to Métis citizens in British Columbia.

Re: Letter Dated November 18th 2009
Dear Malonie,
Thank you for taking the time to respond on behalf of Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) by email address. I will attempt to educate you on the 18 issues I have publicly raised on behalf of a number of concerned Métis citizens for MNBC to address in order that you will better understand my serious concerns as a Métis citizen regarding the governance and financial administration of the MNBC. I have made reference in my response to three specific documents that you can review on the Coalition of Concerned Métis citizens (CCMC) website @ www.metiscoalition.co.cc:
1. 2008‐2009 Métis Nation British Columbia Annual Report;
2. Métis School Power Point Presentation presented by you at the MNBC Annual General Meeting in September 2009 in Penticton, BC;
3. CCMC Strategy Document that defines the 18 issues raised to date for MNBC to address since September 2009.
